A paper on “Phase Space Distortion due to Landau Attenuation of Electromagnetic Waves” was published in Communication Physics.

This research was conducted by a research group led by Katsumi Ida, Tatsuya Kobayashi, Mikiro Yoshinuma, Kenichi Nagaoka, Toshihiko Tokuzawa, and Yuto Kato.

This research result is expected to provide a basis for the study of plasma self-heating for the realization of fusion power generation and plasma heating in the Earth's magnetosphere.
